Manufacturing Technician

• Location: Oxnard, California

• Job #78231 An aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Technician who will performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
  
  Location: Oxnard, CA 93030
  Position: Manufacturing Technician
  Pay Rate: $29/hr. on W2
  Duration: 12 months or longer
  Schedule: 9/80, work 9-hr days on Mon-Thurs, and an 8-hr day every other Friday. It ends up being 80 hrs. over 9 days.
  
  Responsibilities:
  • Swiss-army knife type technician position. Technician could end up performing any number of tasks. Examples of the kind of tasks are as follows: assembling large tooling structures, using two-part epoxies for bonding, assembling small/delicate mechanical flight hardware, working with and assembling composite structures, sewing/stitching mesh fabric.
  • Using assigned work instructions and assembly drawings to perform an assortment of Technician tasks. Requirements:
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Knowing and understanding how to read blueprint type assembly drawings is a big plus.
    • Knowledge and experience with all common mechanical hand tools.
    • Knowledge and experience with fasteners and torquing mechanical fasteners.
    • Ability to read and understand blue-print style mechanical drawings.
    • An ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, ask questions and fit-it within a team working environment is most important.
